A tree, the moon & Paris
This morning I woke up thinking about yesterday.
Every Monday at 5:30 pm, I ring the bell at my teacher’s home.
I stand outside her building feeling anticipation and eagerness to get started.
We always exchange ideas and highlights from the previous week and then get to work.
This year we are working on creating a digital library of all the things that I have been learning from her during the past 6 years.
The movement method that she has been teaching me, which she learned from her teacher many years ago, includes elements of posture, breath, strength, coordination, and dancing movement.
We are in the process of recording videos, revising, and polishing many aspects of the work we have been doing.
Each week, I notice how I feel, before and after our Monday’s sessions.
Yesterday, I was feeling particularly content, filled with joy and eager to continue to share and pass on what I have been learning.
On my way back home, while crossing the Eiffel Tower Park, I stood still to catch all those feelings that were traveling with me.
In that moment, I found this tree.
I looked up. I saw the moon.
This picture reminds me of that moment, that moment reminds me of these feelings, these are the feelings that I am eager to share with you today.
When I was 20 years old, I never thought it would be possible for me to feel so at ease in my body, quiet in my mind, and content with my life.
When I find these moments, I hold on to them tightly, until the next wave arrives.
