Supporting your body & mind in uncertain times
I hope you and your family are well and staying calm during intensity.
Today is Sunday morning in Paris. It feels calm and quiet outside. The sun is shining since early morning.
Many of us in different countries have been asked to stay physically distant from one another to help and support our planet as it heals.
It is a time when many of us have been nurturing virtual social connections with old and new friends. For many of us these social connections through messages, phone calls, conversations or virtual gatherings have been key elements in our well-being.
Today I want to remind you of how important it is to continue to support your body and your mind during this time. Make sure you are finding ways to support yourself.
It is important to make space to observe, recognize, allow, and feel intense emotions when they happen and to be gentle with yourself. It is part of our collective experience.
Always observe your mind and body with curiosity and kindness.
Find what helps you transition from feeling contracted in your body to feeling hopeful or at ease. For some people is movement, uplifting conversations, cooking, writing, journaling, painting, reading, listening to music, or simply creating time in your day to take a pause, to bring attention to your breath, and to connect to others.
Please remember that investing a few minutes every day can make a big difference in how you feel. Find the rhythm and pace that works for you.
For those of you that would like to join our meditation groups, please send me a message.
This is a time to appreciate all the effort that everyone is collectively doing to stay physically distant, to help each other and to move forward.
