Win your morning to win your day June challenge
Welcome to June 2019 Morning Challenge!
I am so honored that you have decided to join us.
During the next 30 days, you will learn how good it feels to start your day by doing something that is good for you. This will change how you feel the rest of your day.
Your mind and body will be in the right place to deal with unexpected situations later in the day.
The steps:
1) Make a commitment. Show up for your morning practice, ideally 15 minutes every morning. You can choose what you prefer to do: morning yoga, meditation, journaling, walking in the park, etc.
Example:
During the month of June, I will spend 15 minutes on my yoga mat every morning.
I will use a tracking method to log in my daily practice in a way that brings me joy.
I will show up even when I am feeling resistance.
I will celebrate my progress at the end of the month.
2) Hold on to your sense of courage. You can do this! While building new habits there is usually a time when you feel excited and energized. There might also be days that you don’t feel like doing this new habit that you have committed to do. This is when having group support makes a big difference.
Hold on to the collective energy to show up for your practice!
When the “default” path wants to send you to snooze, remind yourself that you have a choice.
You can move through the 5 minutes of discomfort to do something that will make you feel awake and alive.
3) Plan for obstacles. Weekends, traveling and feeling like you want to skip one day are not good excuses. There is always a way to show up for yourself and your morning practice, even if you feel inner resistance.
4) Build confidence. Each day that you show up for your practice, take a moment to congratulate yourself. You are taking action to honor your commitment. You are building confidence to do it each day. Also, learn how to be gentle with yourself along the way by letting go of perfect.
Even one-minute counts as progress. Bravo!
5) Ask for support. I am here for support. If you are really committed to test this 30-day challenge during the month of June 2019, I invite you to visit our closed Facebook group where you can find additional inspiration and encouragement throughout the month. If you don’t use Facebook, no worries, you can always send me a message and I will respond.
