Laughter
A rainy morning was the start.
The rained stopped and cleared the path.
A gathering outdoors is where we began.
It was supposed to be quiet and calm.
A mindful walk, like many we’ve had.
We went back to the beginner’s mind.
We observed the trees with patience as we let the city sounds pass by.
We refocused the attention on the birds nearby.
Accepting the things that we cannot change.
Trusting that solutions will arrive.
Leaving judgement outside.
Bringing curiosity along for the ride.
Knowing that patience is required from day 1.
Letting go is a must if we want to move on.
Non striving to be somewhere else, the present moment and our senses, is how we experience the now.
Space for these conversations is rare in our everyday lives.
Today, laughter took us by surprise.
We embraced it.
It felt good.
Those moments are rare, when we have them, let’s catch them and keep them for a long time.
That is how we integrate the positive in our minds.
