Dancing With Trees
When I woke up this morning, I was feeling tired.
My mind felt very active, more than usual.
I knew that movement would help.
I went outdoors.
I immediately felt how my energy started to shift feeling less contracted inside.
My senses started waking up to the sounds and sights around me.
The signs of spring approaching were everywhere. In the small bushes, on the trees where flower buds are growing and on those that have started blooming already.
I was holding on to the experience I had with each step because I didn’t want to miss anything.
A thought crossed my mind: “I will be traveling soon. I have to pay full attention now that I am here”.
In that moment, a pink flowering tree caught my attention. I also saw a couple taking pictures under this tree. So, I waited for them to finish.
They kindly ask if I could take a picture of them, I said, yes of course.
I took a few pictures, they seemed happy with the result. We exchanged smiles and then I continued my morning journey.
I ran slowly for 12 minutes as I felt my body releasing tension with each step.
After my run, I starting to listen to music with my headphones.
I was in front of a tree.
It was the perfect moment to practice the exercises that I had reviewed with my teacher on Monday.
The music in my ears, the promise of Spring arriving soon, briefly meeting happy people on my walk and my body feeling strong, was an excellent combination of positive emotions that made me shift my energy completely.
I was so focused in that moment, that when I realized, I was dancing with the trees, smiling, moving fast, feeling fully present and energized.
I want to capture that feeling today because a morning that could have been just average, felt like playtime and gave me the mental space, energy, and inspiration to conquer my day.
I have been reinventing my mornings for a long time now. I invite you to give it a try.
Are you ready to start reinventing your mornings?
