Monday Mindset
This morning the sky was very different than yesterday. The sky was different, and the light was different. There was something particular about the light that made me stop to take this picture.
I noticed how the sounds changed from the moment I stepped on the street to the moment I arrived at the park. Instead of metal being reorganized for the scaffolding being placed on one of the buildings nearby, I listened to the sounds of the birds.
I didn’t stay long in the park, probably less than 10 minutes, but it was enough to make me feel fully present, connected to nature, and grounded in the present moment.
My hands were feeling cold, but the weather was pleasant.
Those brief minutes outside, helped me organize my mind, capture a couple of positive emotions, feeling connected and at ease, before starting to tackle Monday’s do list.
What about you, which is one step you take before opening your computer, checking your email, or attending your first meeting, to help your body and mind prepare for a brand-new week? Have you seen the sky today?
