October 2022: 1-Minute Tree Experiment

Bonjour!

On October 1st, I was walking near my favorite tree, right in front of the Eiffel Tower, when I realized October had arrived in the blink of an eye. I stood there carefully observing the tree, noticing that it had less leaves than the previous weeks, always standing tall and strong even though it is over 200 years old.

This tree has been my morning companion and a usual stop during my morning mindful walks. I always point out the tree to family, friends, and clients if we are walking nearby. This is one of the morning habits that makes me smile.

Inspired by this bicentennial tree and the many health benefits of being in nature, I decided to celebrate trees around the world by leading a 1-minute Tree Experiment this month. I am sharing it with you in case you want to join us. The idea is simple, here are the steps:

1-Minute Tree Experiment
1. Go outside and find one tree in your neighborhood this week
2. Notice how you feel
3. Spend one minute carefully observing this tree from the bottom of the trunk to the tip of the branches
4. Notice something that catches your attention
5. What makes this tree unique?
6. Notice how you feel
7. Just for fun, you can even think of a name to describe the tree. For example, I call my favorite tree, "Grandpa Tree".
8. Optional: If you feel inspired, take a picture of the tree and send it to the email address below and let me know where the tree is located in the world: postcardsfromparispodcast@gmail.com

So far, I have received photos of trees from New York, "El Camino" in Spain, Ireland, Turkey and Denmark.

At the end of October, I will gather some of the tree pictures and will share them in this Newsletter. It would be great if you can participate as well. You can send a picture of your favorite tree to: posctardsfromparispodcast@gmail.com or reply to this email.

There is no better time to gain a deeper sense of connection to our natural environment and to create a sense of belonging to a like-minded community, than right now.

Thank you for being part of this community!

If you know of someone who would like to join this 1-Minute Tree Experiment, please share this link so that they can subscribe to receive the next newsletter.

As always, the updates of this 1-Minute Experiment are being released in Postcards From Paris Podcast Monday, Wednesday and Friday! Stay tuned!

Kind regards,

Tania
